COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

1 pt 09 fl oz (US) bottle. Pours caramel color. Not a lot of head or lacing. Pungent aroma of hops. Medium mouth feel and an adequate bitter taste. A lingering aftertaste. Not a tremendous brew but it was OK.

From my fall 2006 notebook. Not as bitter as I expected. Mostly malt in the aroma and body with a faint bitter aftertaste.

500 ml bottle - pours beautiful caramel amber with thick, creamy one-finger head that leaves thick lacing. Big fruity Goldings aroma along with some hay and toffee, and an earthiness as well. Flavour is mainly toffee malt to start then parlays into a lingering dry, dry, dry, bitter finish. Some very faint spiciness from the yeast as well. A fantastic English bitter, and a perfect session beer.

500 mL bottle. Orange amber with fizzy white head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet malty taste with fruity notes and a brassy slightly bitter finiah.

500 mL. Clear amber-orange with a large meringue topping that lasts. Aromas of spicy herbs, raisins and apples. Tastes of butterscotch, toffee and sourish apples on the front with some delicately bitter, grassy hops on the end. Palate is creamy, slightly dry, and light-medium bodied with very little carbonation tingle.

This beer is golden/orange with a good head. The aroma has notes of hops and caramel/roasted malt. The flavour is fullbodied with notes of hops, caramel and fruit and a nice bitterness, that grows in the finish. A nice fullbodied ale that also is very refreshing.
