COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

Sehr gut! Test vom 12.8.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,13,13,13,14,13 - 12,85

Slightly bitter. Had this one slightly cold from the fridge. Nice colour. Got a taste of cheese for some reason. Not overpowering but very tasty. Good for a session.

Bottle 500ml. Very tasty, and well balanced. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, nuts, and cherries. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a thick frothy head.

Clear amber color. Off white head. Fruity aroma, some caramel. Bitter sweet taste, some hay. No lasting aftertaste.

[500ml bottle, The Bottle, York] Deep golden pour, slightly off-white head. Dry, fruity nose. Taste is grassy hop with some sweet fruit, before bitter dry biscuity finish. Drinkable stuff [17062008]

From a bottle, first impression is the deep golden color. The head was thick and white, adding contrast to the rich tone of the body. Scents of hops, oranges and spice are appealing. The flavor is the only thing that took this down. While it was deliciously hoppy and dry, the other half failed to balance. The malty backbone of this brew wasn’t strong enough - and makes this beer feel almost incomplete.

Slightly hazy copper, medium white to off-white froth. Thick malt nose, biscuit and caramel with the slightest hint of hops. Taste is just big malt, followed by big bitter. Aggressive, rather oily mouthfeel. Generally just very two-dimensional and not pleasant.

It’s an all right bitter, nothing too special. Nothing to write home about, but I would have it again if it was around.
