3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at the source. Dark brown color, tan head. Aroma of pine and cocoa. Taste has mostly bitter coffee. Decent.

Review from notes:
A - Pours dark brown with 2 fingers of tan head. Descent head retention with excellent lacing.
S - Hops jump right out, pungent leafy green, roasted black malts underneath, dark bread.
T - Follows the nose with bittering hops upfront. Leafy green, some fresh herbal flavors, pine, good dark malt backing with a medium amount of roastiness. The hops ride through to the dry bitter finish.
M - Medium carbonation, medium oily body, dry finish.
Not extremely complex but a straightforward beer that delivers. Hops showed more than the malt and everything seemed very fresh. One of the better beers I had from these guys.
