COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yorkshire Pale Ale. Brewed in celebration of famous veterinary character James Herriot, this is a light, bright Yorkshire Pale Ale with a stubborn hoppy kick. Its carefully crafted at our brewery in Masham in the heart of Herriot country. Using a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Brambling Cross whole flower hops.

Bottle Asda. Pale gold, thin white patchy head, leaves some lacework. Nice citrus hop nose, well hopped palate, some slightly sweet malt there as well. Lingering finish. Tasty brew, tho not the best from Black Sheep, could perhaps do with an extra 1% ABV??

a nice pale ale from black sheep grass, citrus, pale, golden, clear, frothy, medium sweetness, . the black sheep brewery very rarely disappoints and this is another fine example

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is light grassy hop citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a woody hop bitter, light metallic, light sweet palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Served on the cool side. More of a golden ale than a bitter. Iíd buy this again.

McTapps (3919) - Ruhrcity, North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 6, 2014
Bottle bought at the local Tesco in Eastbourne. Pours out in a clear deep amber colour with low head and flat body.Aroma of caramel and hops with some leafy hints. Taste of copper, hops, light malt, barley, bread and cake. Finishes of thin with some flowery and hoppy hints. Boring and uninspiring but ok.

Bottle from Tesco, Eastbourne shared with McTapps. Starting off with some hops and descent malt combined with some nuts. Developing an unusual yeasty nose and tasty which hit me really tough. Had problems to finish that one.

Bottle from Asda. Copper-gold with a thin head. Good pale ale nose that holds most of the fruit flavours in this one. Itís taste is understated but itís light texture means itís an easy drinking ale.

Bottle from Tesco Broughton. Pours a clear gold colour with a thick pillowy white head. Aroma is metallic and lemony. Taste is mild hops, bread and citrus. Slight bitter finish, and little lacing. You get what you pay for with this one; cheap and cheerful - nothing outstanding.

Bottle. Bought from Morrisons Bilston. Blonde with a small head. Not very hoppy and not much flavour apart from a slight bitterness. Cheap but not so cheerful.

Clear golden beer with a thick foamy head. Light citrus aroma with a distinct lemon edge to it. The flavour is initially bittersweet but it doesnít stay strong for long. It settles into a hoppy, tangy but light flavour with just a touch of malt in the finish. Drinkable but nothing special.

edsspoon (370) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Bottle - pours amber with a fizzy white head. Aroma of malts and fruits - I thought the aroma was actually pretty weak. Taste is some faint grassy hops, citrus with bitter marmalade and grapefruit. Slightly sweet, bit of a burnt flavour with apple and a medium bitterness. Light body with a medium to high carbonation. A bit disappointing but also a very pleasant beer.
