A well hopped, light golden session bitter with a distinctive, dry, refreshing taste enjoyed through a rich creamy head. Brewed in traditional cast iron and copper vessels using the finest ingredients.

Red limpid color, clearly and firm one. Light and evanescent head. Woody and malty aroma with detached and decided bitter notes. Lightly fruity and watery. Smooth and dry taste with light alcoholic tone. Medium duration final. Balanced and light on the end.

At the Mitre, Cambridge. A splendid bitter. Lots of hops, a peppery aroma and a nice bitter finish that cries out for more!

really really standard bitter, if you wanted to know what basic bitter tasted like this would be it, the black sheep name hints at something darker but it aint, alright pint tho.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2006 Pint pulled at The Cock Inn in Surrey (in the middle of a 70km bike ride), a nice amber in colour but little head. Not a strong aroma, the malt being the most evident with a hoppy crispness. Flavour is mainly malty, with a good level of bitterness (with hints of grapefruit). A very inoffensive drop, something I would happily regularly drink.

Cask at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford One of my favourite session beers. Good resiny hops with biscuity malts and some fruit leads to a dry bitter hop finish that makes you want to take another sip. Good beer

Cask at Wateredge Inn, Ambleside. Orangey amber with tight sparkler induced head. Fairly good hoppy session bitter when served well.
