Bottle sample. Clear deep golden color with a small head. Earthy and carameli aromas, some must and marmalade. Sweetish malt, some toffee, lo-med bitterness, balanced, light-med body and OK.

A great beer. But then again I like golden ales so I'm probably gonna like it. It pours a medium dark amber hue with hints of red. It's got a very wet feel to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden colour with a large white head, leaving a nice lacing inside the glass. Aroma is toasty, English hops and light nuts. Flavor has a decent bitterness with nutty hints. The final has a good bitterness with a dry sensation.

Pours a golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma and taste is very similar to the standard Black Sheep ale. A little more wet cardboard associated with oxidisation in this one though. Not my cup of tea.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Aroma has a bit of skunkiness, malt - a bit stale-tastining, light fruity hints and a faint hoppy note. Stale and slightly oxidized flavor with malt, some minerally and earthy hops notes and a bit of bitterness.

500 ml bottle from Brighton. Nice amber - beautiful to look at. Taste is fresh, a little bit acidic, dry. Nice white head. Good beer, but would like to have a little bit more nuances.

500 mL bottle from Asda in Hull. Golden amber, bubbly head, gassy. Dry, acidic, fruity aroma. Very dry, fruity, a little biscuity. Reasonable, but a bit plain.
