Deep amber colour. Malty slight floral smell. Dry bitter taste. Yeasty character perhaps? OK golden ale, if lacking a bit of complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark golden brown amber colour, with watery malty yeast aroma, and bubbly white head. Taste is initial sourish caramel burnt dry earthy , with slight hoppy bitterness that lingers, layered against a thin malty sweetish taste. OK bitter.

Bottle from Sainsburys. A reddish golden colour. Really this is just a lighter version of the standard Black Sheep ale, showing lots of house dry yeasty character, so if you like all the others you’ll like this. I love the others but think the lighter version loses a bit of the complexity and dry bite you get from the standard version, and if I wanted a summery golden ale I probably wouldn’t go looking for a Sheep. Nice enough but not special.

500ml bottle - golden pour with white head, a little floral in the nose, but dry and citrus in the taste. A little bitter afterwards, but not too unpleasant.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Taste of flowers, grains and hay. Quite refreshing, easy to drink but little bit too bitter for me in the finish.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Aromas of some caramel, malt and toffee. Tastes sweetish without any bitterness. Good but nit outstanding beer.

Slight fizz with poured and developed a thin, foamy head. Balanced flavour but more bitter than anything else. Crisp, refreshing but not especially memorable.

A - light Brown hint gold and a small head that lasted and faded into a film with little lacing. S - Strong malt a bit of hay, golden syrup, caramel, bit of dark fruit. T - mush dryer and hoppier than it smelled. refreshing and went very well with my chicken and Black bean sauce. dry slightly bitter finish and no aftertaste. M&D - medium carbonation, smooth, easy to drink. Could have a couple in a night but would just as soon try something else.

Bottle, drunk 6 months after "Best Before" date... pours a clear amber with thin white head. Yeasty and malty nose. Definitely "cream cracker" taste, mainly sweet, medium carbonation and body, some weak citrus hop bitterness on the finish. Forgettable.
