Golden Sheep is a beautifully balanced Blonde cask beer, with a dry and refreshing bitterness. It develops with light, citrusy fruit flavours, and a clean, crisp finish. Brewed using time honoured methods and fermented in our Yorkshire Square vessels.

Cask @ Six Bells, Cambridge. Perfect gold. Aroma is buttery, and unfortunately slightly possety. Full sweet taste with bitter around the edges. A reasonable golden from our reliable friends in the North.

Light hazy tan, bubbly head. Light body, generally refreshing but perhaps too much caramel and not enough hop. Disappointing, from a brewery whose products I normally enjoy.

Cask at the Black Sheep Brewery, Masham, September 2013. Almost muted clear gold with white head. Faint grain, fruit, earth and maltiness in the nose, full malty taste, a little buttery and light bitterness. Medium-bodied, light malt finish.

Golden with a white head. Taste was OK but a bit sharp towards the end. Oily texture, a little bit thin. OK but not amazing.

Bright lemon body, loose white dish of a head. Nose of hobnobs crumbled into unlevened bread. Big crushed biscuit packed initial taste, clean but malty and weird. Crumble of body leaves little room for a seeping hop vine and lightish lemon linger.

Cask, Bon Accord, Glasgow
