Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

I found the aftertaste to be distasteful. ESB’s have never appealed to me and this one did not deviate from that style.

1pt 0.9oz bottle. Pours hazy amber with a foamy white head. Smelled of grains, molasses, and lightly fruity. Tasted like bread grains, cereal, and sweet critric fruits. Semi earthy aftertaste. Pretty good beer.

Pours a dull hazy light amber with a decent foamy white head. Quickly dissipates leaving thin spotty lacing. Aroma is mild light malts and some peach or apricote notes. Mild hop aroma. Flavors I found to be flat woody and quite easy on the hops or bitterness. Carbonation was quite soft and the aftertaste, was soft and easy. I suppose it is fairly refreshing, but at $4 a bottle a little undesirable.

Bottle. Orange color. Flowery, yeasty, slightly vinous aroma with peach and citrus. Flowery flavor with butterscotch and a hint of citrus. Earthy yeasty aftertaste. Drinkable.

12 ounce bottle from somewhere. I assure you it came from somewhere. Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Odd aroma of caramel, subtle grain and something that reminds me of wet cat. Taste is sweet candied citrus, grain and caramel.

This beer has a fun lable, but falls short of excellence in english ales. Smelled old. Perhaps it really WAS old. Poured watery, had a fair malty start, but an unusual, dry / old finish. Fun Bottle - Bad Beer.

Run away! Run away! Seriously. Tastes how spray paint smells. Nice amber color but that’s about it.

A clear amber colored beer, with a great thick foamy head. The aroma of hops, with fruits. There are notes of grass. The taste is bitter, with a little dry. It’s fruity and there are touches of nutes. The aftertaste is dry bitter.
