Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Aroma of malts and hops and some skunkiness. Malty flavor with small hint of citrus fruits. Disappointing.

Clear light amber, thin white head. Malty nose and taste. Very mild and fairly unremarkable. Meh.

Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a fairly large white head that sticks to the glass. Aroma is of oranges, grapefruit, bitterness. Tastes of oranges, bitterness, honey, biscuity malt, a nutty/bitter finish. Watery and missing a mid-palate. This beer is OK, but not the best ESB I’ve had

This beer poured a clear golden yellow color with about a one finger white head that dissipated to a thin film across the top. The aroma was of fruit and also a bit yeasty. The flavor was a bit fruity, and was balanced by the hops. This just seemed to be lacking something. Okay, but forgettable.

Bottle golden color. Bitter flavor. Made my wifes’ face go all funny. Hard to describe. Fruity. with some mild hops. Leaves an almost metallic dry feel in mouth.

Bottle. Golden orange with a large fluffy head: grassy aroma with some butter. Nice carbonation. The flavour is a bit light, with a hint of raisin at the start leading to some grass and a light bitterness in the finish. Bring out your dead.
