NJJereme (262), Saint Petersburg, Florida, USA Oct 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours a copper color w/ a white head. Virtually no flavor or taste. Nominal hops and malts. Kind of grainy. Really, bland. Light to medium bodied. Easy on the palate. Definitely lacked character. travita (1861), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 13, 2009 Bottle. Copper colored with a small off white head. The smell is malts, floral, dough, bread, and hops. The taste is malts, floral, hops, and some light bitterness. floydian1 (257), FNQ, Australia Oct 11, 2009 500ml bottle into pint glass. It pours clear dark orange with a medium off white head that persists. Nose is light toasted malts with an orangey hop presence. Palate is light-medium bodied with a slick texture and low carbonation. Certainly easy to drink. Taste is caramel, brown malts and marmalade with a fruity hop bitterness to the finish. A decent fruity Bitter but not as good as Black Sheep Ale which is this brewery’s signature beer in my opinion. crhensel (8), New Jersey, USA does not count Oct 10, 2009 (bottle poured into pint glass) Pours a dark amber, light copper color with small quickly diminishing head. Smells of flowers with a hint of citrus. Thin drink with lively carbonation finishes slightly dull and bland. I was hoping for some of the flower and citrus to translate but it did not. Interesting choice for name and label, but there are better examples of the style out there. Hermod (251), Vantaa, Finland Oct 8, 2009 Bottle. golden color, quite smooth, slighty bitter finish. does not stand out. Snegurochka (69), Tromsø, Norway Oct 6, 2009 Frizzy head. Amber lightly cloudy. Virtually no lacing. Scent of fresh manure and wet pine forest. Lively carbonated- a bit stingy. Round palate and a straight standard beer. I give an extra credit for the design and because I love Monty Python. Now I know how to get the attention from geeky guys at parties;-) jcr (1139), Jasper, Indiana, USA Sep 23, 2009 Bottle. Clear, deep gold body below an off-white head, mostly diminishing. Light aroma of toast, flowers, dough with a hint of fruit, apricot. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, smooth though somewhat chalky texture, lively carbonation. An average bitter and it does, as advertised, have a distinctive flavor. That flavor, however, is like licking paper. Not one of the better premium bitters. stef92 (67), Williamstown, New Jersey, USA Sep 23, 2009 Golden amber coloring. Light hops but ample flavor. Slight sweetenss in the finish. Plus its tempered over burning witches. I enjoyed it!
