Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Cask at The Haymarket Bar. Pours clear golden amber, thin white head. Aromas of floral hops and light caramel, near butterscotch. Taste is sweet. Nutty maybe. Slight astringency. Not great.

Pours a nice copper color with an off-white head. Aromaof malt, bitof citrus and fruit. Taste of malt, light touch of fruit and citrus. Mild bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Moderate body, smooth with a bit of a maly feel. Easy drinker, nothing fancy.

Wittales (611) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 2, 2014
Appearance was clear deep gold with creamy diminishing off white 1/2 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are simple sweet English pale malt with some fruity esters of yeasts, slight grassy herbal hops. Taste are sweet pale malt upfront with dry light fruity English yeasts, hops are super soft earthy grass. Palate was soft CO2 with light body, malt and slightly dryish fruity yeasty finish. Itís what it is at 4%, more hops would help.

@ Sergioís / Louisville KY --- Clear brown with a generous head that slowly drops to a cover, stripes and dots of lace. Taste is caramel malt that turns a little bitter in the finish. A little heavy to drink, lays heavy on the stomach. Not particularly appealing.

Yes, the alure is in the name. The beer itself is quite typical English, bit watery with a bitter background, not much in the way of hops, or rather not the sort youíd want anyhow.

Paleta dosc zadowalajaca ale jesli to jest jako ESB to bardzo slabienko wypada to piwo. Piana srednia kolor bursztynowy. Ciekawa etykieta nawiazujaca do serialu komikow Monty Pythona. Tresciwosc niska finisz za to dosc dobrze goryczkowy

Love the deep red color, lacks a bit in the flavor department yet still a very refreshing beet -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10
