dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA May 28, 2008 Tap at Churchills, Savannah. Nice amber pour with a thin white head. Creamy malty orange aroma. Taste is smooth malt with a slight hop bitterness and much more carbonated than I thought it would be. This would be a nice beer to try on cask. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA May 28, 2008 Aroma smells of skunked hops, grass clippings, not very appealing. The second pour allows for more malt body to come through. The appearance is rather ordinary with a very light tan translucent body, with a nice 1/2 inch thick white head. This brew is rather bitter initially, smoothing out into a more malt filled taste. The second taste is much more tasty, the malts come through with a sweeter more mellow taste. The beer feels to complicated initially, is it bitter, is it sweet, is it liquory. I love everything Python, but this will not be playing again on my taste buds. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA May 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours a thin golden body with lbig head. Aroma of fruit and hops, some skunky hops. Flavor is thin with some stale fruit and a very bitter finish. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA May 25, 2008 bottle, yellow gold in color, nice smooth body with an orange and pepper flavor, nice bite on the finish TheSponge (272), Lynnwood, Washington, USA May 25, 2008 1 pint 0.9 fl. oz. bottle. Pours a medium amber/orange/brown. Very smooth, with a hint of orange peel. Decent, although I expected this one to be a lot more full-bodied. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA May 18, 2008 As Im a fan of ESBs, I may give this a pass as a cute gimmick if it wasn’t for Black Sheep being the brewers. Honey syrupy orange, full head (overly frothy when poured). Generally a good general ESB, malty, but not too sweet nor bitter, so it’s quite middle of the road. Pretty watery on the tongue, but still a bit of smoothness when in the mouth. Not the greatest, but not the worst I’ve had. (Bottle Pour 5/18/2008) SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy May 16, 2008 Bottle: Poured a orange brown with a off white. Aroma is nice fruit with some malts. Taste is nice soft fruit with bolstery malts, finish is caramel and dry. v64 (74), Austin, Texas, USA May 15, 2008 Pours a light amber, thick head. Average taste and flavor. A decent ESB, but nothing special. Most of its novelty is in its name.
