Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Clear brown pour with no head. Light malt aroma, a touch of smoke, light sourness. Sweet, uncomplex and boring.

Pours with a large, rocky, off-white head covering a deep golden body. Aroma of rotten fruit, honey and wheat. Sweet taste and then something that tastes like a wet dog smells. Then there is some banana and metal. Fizzy.

Tasted 2008-04-24. Pours clear, amber with an off white head. Aroma: Slightly hoppy, peaches, a little breadish Flavour: salty and a little bitter. Kinda thin. OK beer!

This beer was kind of plain. I would not refer to it as a holy ale, because I would not risk my life for this one.

Funny bottle. nice hops, there’snever too much though. I wouldn’t say it’s a bitter, more like a typical english ale with a bit more hops.

Pale black and tan, iced tea with a big yellowish-orange foam. Smells Sour. Taste bitter, like champagne. Disgusting.
