Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

1 Pt. Bottle: Pours a light brown with almost no head. Little bitter taste finishes smooth. Not really worth what I paid for it but at least now I know.

500ml bottle from Bev Mo Carmel Mountain. One of the best movies ever made but, not my favorite beer. Poured a tinted reddish amber, medium off white head. Aromas of yeast, bread, and lightly roasted malts. Medium bitter mouth feel with a hint of hops and a slightly bitter finish. "I fart in your general direction".

Pours a medium amber with a big head that is quickly gone. Aromas of caramel and roasted nuttiness, also some yeast detected. Flavor was not so great. Seemed overly bitter, for a beer with this light of a palate. I tried it for the name, but probably wouldn’t drink it again.

Thanks Tikie, looked cool and turned out to be not so cool. Decent head and grainy taste. Little bit of citrus and grass taste. not bad, not again

Really wanted to try it because of the name and the love for Monty Python, but a little let down on this beer. Not that bad, but could have been better...a little less fruiter would have been better!

Bright copper color, with a frothy white head, wet pale malt nose with a fruity note of subtle citrusy, with a mild flowery hop accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a zesty, fruity, wet grainy toasty malt character, with a nice floral hop citrusy accent, with a hint of leafiness and pineyness, leading towards a citrusy, limey, hop leafy bitterring finish.

Dark gold, head not lasting but leaves good lacing, aroma very hoppy, bread notes, floral, good hop flavour and bitter at first.Grapefruit flavour is noticeable at finish along with a sweet dry taste, good session beer, plus fish and chips.

The aroma is interesting... hard to define. What is it? Pear? The color is a slightly cloudy gold. The hops has something interesting to it, unusual... but it’s a bit too watery and needs more development.
