Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Very bland beer, decent flavor nothing really special happening in this beer. Witty name but needs a better beer inside, Wouldn’t buy again.

A light amber pour with a nice white head, and some lacing. The nose is faint and hard to detect, while the flavor is nice and crisp. Could be better, but for a novelty named brew, it’s a little better than I would have guessed.

500ml. bottle from L.C.B.O. Ottawa. The color is a light amber with a beige head. The taste is a grainy sour mix. The aroma is not very noticeable. Hops are there but again not very noticeable.

1 Pt. Bottle: Pours a light brown with almost no head. Little bitter taste finishes smooth. Not really worth what I paid for it but at least now I know.

500ml bottle from Bev Mo Carmel Mountain. One of the best movies ever made but, not my favorite beer. Poured a tinted reddish amber, medium off white head. Aromas of yeast, bread, and lightly roasted malts. Medium bitter mouth feel with a hint of hops and a slightly bitter finish. "I fart in your general direction".

Pours a medium amber with a big head that is quickly gone. Aromas of caramel and roasted nuttiness, also some yeast detected. Flavor was not so great. Seemed overly bitter, for a beer with this light of a palate. I tried it for the name, but probably wouldn’t drink it again.

Thanks Tikie, looked cool and turned out to be not so cool. Decent head and grainy taste. Little bit of citrus and grass taste. not bad, not again

Really wanted to try it because of the name and the love for Monty Python, but a little let down on this beer. Not that bad, but could have been better...a little less fruiter would have been better!
