| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 5, 2008 The aroma is interesting... hard to define. What is it? Pear? The color is a slightly cloudy gold. The hops has something interesting to it, unusual... but it’s a bit too watery and needs more development. CaptBier (302), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a thin amber with a light frothy head. Aroma is a little mix of, I cant think what it is, a little like an amber, Killians or something like that and mixed John Cleese’s farts. Now that you mention, that’s what it tastes like too. But seriously, the taste is sharp ESB taste, but the aftertaste is awful and metallic. Reminds me of Boddingtons. bryandhargrave (165), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Bottle from supermarket in NZ, poured a clear amber with a bubbly yellowish head. A warming malt aroma with a slight tartness and a touch of ginger (this could be the result of the travel). A strong earthy malt flavour with a full mouthfeel and a smooth palate. The finish becomes more dry and hoppy with the malt giving more toffeeish characteristics. Good enough to make me wish I had tasted a less travelled version.
