TheDog (350), Aarhus, Denmark Sep 19, 2007 Bottle. Amber golden colour with white head. Aroma and taste of sweet malts, hops and a bit anise and other spice. Good carbonation, it doesn´t feel flat like similiar ESB´s. Great layout and text: Burned over tempered witches. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 17, 2007 Had this beer on 7/7/2004. Aroma is a slightly sweet malt scent with a faint hint of hops. Color is a bright deep gold with good carbonation and a tight thin head. Taste is fizzy and sweet. Starting with a light body it goes down with a fizzy feel. Finish comes light on with a sweet maltness that reminds me a bit of the first home brew I ever made. This is backed by a very faint bitterness. Its a clean, fresh, easy drinking beer. Taverner (827), San Ramon, California, USA Sep 15, 2007 Pleasantly surprised. I usually don’t go for novelty beers - but Eric Idle went out and found a decent Ale! Nice and hoppy, spicy and flavorful! VeloVampire (483), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 13, 2007 500 ml bottle - pours a nice clear auburn with a foamy off-white head. Aroma fairly faint with some brown sugar, apples and a subtle hop presence. Flavour is where this one scores - though the body is slightly watery, there is a nice spiciness and a good hop backbone. Also, a minerally quality. Nice. There is enough malt and a faint smokiness that wraps up the package nicely. Not outstanding, but would be an excellent session brew. charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA Sep 6, 2007 Poured a very light amber with a thin but persistant off-white head. Aroma was enticing with notes of fruit, malt and caramel. The taste was anticlimatic. Thin, malt character with a great amount of butterscotch and caramel. Little hop flavor or bitterness. Reminded me of Old Peculiar, just not as good. djd07 (724), Houston, Texas, USA Sep 2, 2007 Bottle as shown. Pours an amber color with an small off white head that diminishes to a paper thin head. The aroma is a very sweet malt and butterscotch notes. Nice lacing that dissipates quickly. The taste is not lasting and goes over quickly leaving a malt finish. This is one strange ESB but at best average. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Monte Python Holy Grail Ale

DubC5000 (195), San Diego, California, USA Aug 31, 2007 Smelled of light malts and metal, some alcohol, and not much else. Perhaps a hint of summer berries, or that was just my imagination. Tastes interesting though. There is hardly any hop discernible at all, and the malts pass over the tongue quickly. What’s left behind can only be described as a mix of very subtle orange, coffee, alcohol, anise, and floral notes. Deeper down there are tidbits of oak and molasses. A very intriguing beer. Tastes almost like a shrubbery...... hmmm.......
