Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Bottle -- Light golden amber with light visible carbonation and a large sudsy white head with some retention and some lacing. Fairly straightforward and gentle aroma of grassy hops and malt. Quie a lot of carbonation in the palate. The flavour reflects the aroma and is also quite mild with a fairly thin bitter finish. A nice enough drop but my nipples hardly exploded with delight.

Blah. There is nothing here at all besides some lightly sweet malt and a slighly bitter finish. The palate is too thin to support any flavour, not that there are flavours here to be supported. Smells and looks like a premium lager, and tastes a bit like one too. The best part about this beer is the head, which fades to a pretty decent white cap, and the bottle it came in. Uhhg, this is gross.

Pours an amberish colour. Have to agree the aroma was alittle scary but the flavour wasnt all that bad. Alittle sweet for my liking and kind of boring but drinkable.

Pours a gold colour with medium white head. Aroma similar to a lager with’s only other note of fruity hops. Taste is simple, slight malts and with a bitter and dry finish. Thats it. Medium body and ok palate.

This beer poured a huge head but the aroma was of puke and other stomach juices it was horrible. I have never had a beer that smelt this bad in my entire life. The flavor was very weak and bland no complexity at all. not one of my favorites.

This beer is not very exciting....Amber to gold color very earthy. Grassy taste with a bitter finish. Won’t order this one again.

Bottle. Amber beer with a big off-white head. Hay, grassy aroma. Grassy, citrus flavor with light malt. LIngering citrus. Medium-light body.

decent, but not great ale. Easy to drink, but I expected more. Rather dry, with not much flavor.
