Feb 23, 2007 Bottle. Golden amber color with medium off-white head. Plain malt aroma with earthy hops. Medium bodied. Very bitter flavour. This is the only character of this beer, bitterness, not anything more.

Feb 16, 2007 Pours a golden amber with a great head. Nice roasty, hoppy aroma. Very interesting taste - starts out sweet, but then bitters and dries out nicely. There’s that ferric (blood, iron) taste again that seems to pop up from time to time in certain beers (La Maudite) but I suspect this is either a storage method or something in the hops I’m tasting. The hops are really well balanced against the malt. Great carbonation, body is light and almost creamy (although it could be that fantastic head meddling with the mouthfeel!) Nice beer. What is that iron I’m tasting? No matter, this is a real beer, and an excellent example of a bitter.

Feb 10, 2007 Updated: Apr 2, 2007Pours amber. Grassy hops in the nose. A nice mix of sweet malt and subtle hops. Complexity is above average definitely. Medium body, creamy, and smooth. Very enjoyable ESB.

Feb 9, 2007 What a pleasant surprise. I thought this beer was going to be nothing but a gimmick. Pours a pale, cloudy amber. Lots of English maltiness up front with a dry mildy hoppy finish. Probably make a great session beer.

Feb 7, 2007 Bottle. Pours amber with thin white head. Nice malt aroma, but mainly hops flavor. Interesting, unpleasant aftertaste that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

Feb 4, 2007 amber colour with a small head. Sweet aroma that was moslty malty with undertones of caramel. Fair carbonation in the mouth. Initial taste is sligtly sweet and light that quickly degrades to a strange bitterness.
overall a fair beer that those that enjoy a bitter beer may futher enjoy.

Jan 28, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy amber-orange colour with a big frothy off-white head. Nice lacing. A bit malty-sweet aroma with some hops. Flavour is nicely hoppy, bit grainy, weak malty sweetness with a little yeast. A little bitter light sweet finish.
