Medium bodied. Very bitter flavour. This is the only character of this beer, bitterness, not anything more. mgermani (864), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Pours a golden amber with a great head. Nice roasty, hoppy aroma. Very interesting taste - starts out sweet, but then bitters and dries out nicely. There’s that ferric (blood, iron) taste again that seems to pop up from time to time in certain beers (La Maudite) but I suspect this is either a storage method or something in the hops I’m tasting. The hops are really well balanced against the malt. Great carbonation, body is light and almost creamy (although it could be that fantastic head meddling with the mouthfeel!) Nice beer. What is that iron I’m tasting? No matter, this is a real beer, and an excellent example of a bitter. Ridedom33 (37), Valdosta, Georgia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 9, 2007 What a pleasant surprise. I thought this beer was going to be nothing but a gimmick. Pours a pale, cloudy amber. Lots of English maltiness up front with a dry mildy hoppy finish. Probably make a great session beer. Zimmo (57), Siloam Springs, Arkansas, USA
