Taste was nicely bitter, but left somehow thin impression. Maybe I was expecting more from this beer. Label of the bottle is funny. WSSmiles (124), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Cool Monthy Python Bottle. Poured golden brown with a big puffy white head. Corny aroma. A nice dry bitter ale with a sharp crisp bitter after byte. Average overall. I’d drink it again if it was on sale. HazelRah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Lemony, fruity aroma. Flavour complex and balanced ranging from overripe apricots and a wide swathe of malt notes to a heartily bitter finish. sunevdj (1770), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 6, 2006 Fountain of foam as I opened the bottle. Pours a mostly clear light brown head with a slightly tanned head. Lacings. Quite malty. Lots of caramel. Not so big hopsprofile. Medium bodied. High carbonation. Sour, bitter and slightly buttery finish. Not so good; nice bottle though. nhewitt (7), Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2006 Not the most amazing of bitters, to be sure, but still enjoyable. It’s for drinking (while looking at the label), not analyzing - you won’t be overly impressed but also will have no problem drinking it. Black Sheep has many other finer offerings, but one buys this for the novelty factor, right? I keep an empty around myself... bergface (57), madison, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 28, 2006 I must say that the bottle is quite clever, and the beer is more than drinkable. This is not among my favorite British ales, but it is a hearty medium bodied offering, with a bit of caramel sweetness and a bit of a roasted flavor. Slightly bitter, and quite tasty. walleye (878), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2006 had this on tap at the Berkley Front earlier this summer. poured a nice amber with a nice sizes light tan head that left some nice lacing. aroma got some caramelized malts with some hops, a bit of fruitiness and that is all folks. flavor, not much going on here did get some malt and hops, has a bitter finish which would be the only thing going for it.
