Nice hoppy aroma. The body is clean deep bronze, with a full suds head. the head fades slowly. Light body, not very hoppy, the bitterness is rather week. The finish is clean. It is OK. omhper (12180), Stockholm, Sweden

Sweetish with evident carmelly malt and some hay-like hops. Fairly light bodied with soft mouthfeel and careful salty bitterness. Not as mad as you might think... bubbleflubber (893), Collinsville, Virginia, USA

A basic light caramel nose. A caramel-hop flavor is predominate, with a sharp, citrus twang to cap the pull. It lacks complexity, but certainly has the characteristics of an ESB. Follows suit with a lingering bitter finish. A bit unilateral for my tastes, relying on singular bitters for the primary effect, but much better than any macro. A decent combination of sweet malt, toffee, citrus and bitterness to this style makes for a decent brew, nonetheless. da845 (139), new york, New York, USA

Very light and fruity, with just enough of a subtle bitterness iowaherkeye (1852), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Just watched the movie, and it seems fitting. had this at the Iowa City Brewfest last August, and I think I liked it, so let’s try it again to be sure. 16.9oz bottle, no date. Aroma of British hops, caramel, and raisins. Pours a clear copper with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Taste is much the same. Light bodied, lighter carbonation. Just a little bitterness. Not as good as I remembered, but what ever is?I realize my palate isn’t that great, picking up miniscule differences in british beers, but this reminds me of Young’s St. Nick, only in more of a session beer form. bitbucket (2033), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2006 Bottled. Pours a pale amber with a persistent, rocky, off-white head. Aroma of citrus and dusty malt. Medium body and light carbonation, and somewhat watery. Taste of caramel, bubblegum and grapefruit with a dry piney finish with just the vaguest hint of burning witches. A bit of creamy character comes out when it warms up a bit, but it still goes watery in the middle. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

Medium carb. I felt the beer has a strong flavour, but also tangy maybe. Good bitter. Overall the beer seemed to grow on me. I dont think I found the Holy Grail of beer in this though.
