Aroma is flowers and ginger, flavor is more of the same with malt. Does not taste strongly of witches or weigh more then a duck but does have more carbonation then I would like. machfive55 (228), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 16, 2009 (bottle) Hazy, golden to amber colour with a medium-sized, off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet and yeasty cara-malt aroma with a slightly sweaty and fruity (overripe citrus) hoppy touch. Light-bitter flavour, slim bodied with a low carbonation. Moderately dry malt character, slightly chalky taste with delicate bitter and fruity hops, leading into a fairly dry and short finish. Disappointing or is it the great name that bears its burden (16.III.09). thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Pours an amber color with a white head. Sweet, malty aroma with toffee, caramel, and some dark fruits. Flavor didn’t match the aroma as much as I would like. A little more bitterness than I was expecting. Sweet flavors of caramel malts and dark fruits dominate with only a slight bitter finish. Strangebrewer (214), Chatham, Ontario, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2009 There must be a holy ton of these bitters floating around England. It seems like every ale from there I drink is one of these. I enjoyed this, but it wasn’t accessable. Not a huge amount of aroma, a eggshell head that leaves some nice lacing. Flavors of iced tea, carmel and a watery, slightly dry finish. Well balanced. A decent and perhaps an every day beer. I think this these British ESBs/Premium Bitters are what our definition of average (good) beer should be. tmoreau (551), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Specialty goblet served at Lunar Brewing for the Holy Grail tapping party...with movie. Poured a clear, gold tone with a small, quickly diminishing head, and light, bubbly lacing that intermitently clinged to the glass. The aroma was light malt, light fruit esters as soft pineapple and green grape. The flavor followed these notes with the light malt, a touch of caramel, and very little hop bitterness. Thin appearance and mouthfeel, with a negligible bitterness on the finish. Drinkable but not up to my UK ESB standards.
