Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Can split with Curly and ScottyP at the Impromtu Woody’s Ticker Tasting. Clear applejuice pour with light tan ring of head. Light caramel and apple aromas. Flavor is green apples fruity lightly hopped, extremely mild. Light apple pie quality. Not bad, but just the typical english style of mildness, and a pretty cool name.

Amber coloured beer with some light carbonation and an average white head. Light malty herby and little fruity caramel touched aroma. Full sprankling palate. Finish is bitter yeasty fruity sweeter touched taste with a strong bitter hoppy, overwhelming ending. Not bad.

50cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear amber color with a one finger frothy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, ripe fresh fruit, some hops. Maybe some notes of honey, raisins, plums and syrup. Flavor is sweet malt and caramel at the beginning but transitions to somewhat sour malt and wet hay as I sample the pour. Light body with a generally watery mouthfeel. Somewhat sour, bitter finish. Lacks body and distinctive flavors.

Bottle. Pours medium amber with a half finger fizzy off white head. The nose is malt and floral hops. The taste is malt, grain and light bitter hops in the finish. Medium, fairly flat mouthfeel. Not that great.
