This beer is, to me, a good example of an English Bitter as they stand today!!! It pours, from the bottle, a hazy orange-amber with a short soapy white head that leaves a little lace. Subtle sweet ’candy’ nose, toffee and toasted malt and a lot of citrus fruits. Quite sweet in the mouth, medium light in body and carbonation, it seems quite malty with toffee and caramel, floral hops, salt? and a lightly bitter back. Finishes malty and sweet with reasonable length. Not a bad brew at all, easily swigged one after the other. EHSRanders (1122), Randers C, Denmark

The head is a dirty white and long lasting. Monty Python has a mild flavor with some bitterness and an average aftertaste. robforbes (1114), Bremerton, Washington, USA

smell of wine, some hops, earthiness.
taste is also wine-like, a little bit hoppy, leaves the mouth dry.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 15, 2007 FRUITY AND LIGHTLY HOPPED TASTE THAT INCLUDES A RECESSED MALT PROFILE. UNDERWHELMING BREW THAT IS WATERY AND YET NOT PARTICULARLY REFRESHING, AS IT IS TOO SWEET YET DRY. UNFORTUNATELY THIS PLEASANT LOOKING GOLDEN BREW IS A MISH MASH COMBINATION THAT HAS NOT QUITE WORKED OUT. DECENT MOUTHFEEL DOES NOT SAY CREAMY...PERHAPS, SLICK IN SOME SORT OF WAY. LIGHT BITTER FINISH IS DECENT.
