Ok beer but not very exciting. Thin taste. Nice copper colour. Left a slightly sour taste in the mouth.

Color is Amber without much head to speak of. Aroma is generic hops, caramel malt, weak fruit hints.
The base is toasted grain and bready like malt. The body is medium leaning on thin. The flavor is toasted grain, light fruit, and again... Generic hop without any real distinction. Not terrible in anyway but not one aspect of this make it notable. Well, the label is pretty cool but... No extra points for that.

DATE TASTED: April 30, 2015... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint... OCCASION: just having used MP as a Medieval Romance review, this made sense tonight--and as the Browns draft, they search yet again for that elusive Holy Grail known as starting quarterback... APPEARANCE: clear, orange amber body with mild effervescence; thin, steady, snow-white head that frames the body attractively; appropriate lacing.. AROMA: nutty, buttery scent with some mellow citrus hints; malts are bready and ...PALATE: smooth, rather uneventful mouthfeel; slightly dry; reasonably weighted... TASTE: a funky, astringent flavor with some nutty suggestions; definite bitterness on the tongue; easy-drinking but indistinguishable in its profile; lemon, pear and some aromatic hops--not impressive...OVERALL: a beer that screams "novelty!" and tastes just as here-and-gone; a brown aleís throat coat late, and the majority of the experience is watered down--not much like the film for which it is named...

Pours deep golden with medium white head. Nose is bready. Aromas are malts, bread, some citrus. Very light body, medium carbonation. Short bitter finish. Nice label and name, but the beer is not worth a shit!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy bright orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Slight earthy herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. very nice robustness and balance of bready malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a very good English pale ale. All around good robustness and balance of bready malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
