Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Clear copper/amber hue. Fluffy off white head. Sweet malt nose, cookie, faintly floral, faintly funk/yeasty. I feel this is quite enjoyable. Sweet caramel, apple, cookie, medium body, smooth mouthfeel, finishing with balancing hops. A nice quaffable brew.

Thick soapy white head and dull orange body with mild carbonation. Toasty aroma of honey, caramel malt, and apples. A very citrusy tasting bitter. Light to medium body. Less than exceptional for the style.

Nice dark and interesting bitter ale. Good bitters but nice and restrained flavor. Very good overall. Nice appearance and good head.

Light amber orange beer with a nice foamy head. Hoppy and flowery aroma with some caramel tones. Bitter hoppy and malty flavor with notes of nut and a dry finish. Little thin on the palate, but a nice and easy beer.

Not the best beer I’ve ever had, but not a bad one. It does have a wicked, bad, naughty, evil aftertaste, which must be tied down on a bed and spanked.

Amber in color with a frothy head. Nose is malty with some banana notes. Flavour is malty evolving into a good bitter ale. Not the masterpiece that Grail deserves, but not a bad beer.

Overall a very nice brew with a hearty nutty flavor, fair aroma, and a cute movie tie-in. attractive appearance in a pint glass or in the colorfully labelled bottle itself.
