Nice average beer that is so good at being average that it is above average - does this make sense? troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 18, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a light amber with a small, but long-lived head. Not as bitter as I expected, and especially not bitter enough to be an ESB. Sweet malty notes with some hops in the aftertaste. Drinkable, clean and refreshing. Pinball (3012), Allerød, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2007 500 ml bottle - pours a nice clear auburn with a foamy off-white head. Aroma fairly faint with some brown sugar, apples and a subtle hop presence. Flavour is where this one scores - though the body is slightly watery, there is a nice spiciness and a good hop backbone. Also, a minerally quality. Nice. There is enough malt and a faint smokiness that wraps up the package nicely. Not outstanding, but would be an excellent session brew. Dsnutz (71), dallas, Texas, USA

Overall it was a descent beer for the price, but I wish it was a little stronger. graham515 (437), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 20, 2007 Pours a nice golden color into the glass with minimal lacing. Has a very sweet aroma with hints of honey. The taste is much the same with light fruity hops and honey on the palate. Though I’m no expert on english ales, I found this very enjoyable and worth a try.
