Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Bright amber color, light bubbly head. Fruity nose - apple and a light dusty citrus following. A light, yet firm fruity hoppiness is boasted at the front. Some sweet malt hits in the middle with just a touch of vanilla. Nice hop bitterness continues throught the finish. A bit timid, not at all bad though.

Camelot is a silly place and this beer is just an average Euor-pee-en Ale. Still it was fun to reminisce about the movie while enjoying a cold one. Hey, it’s not as bad as a flesh wound. I found this at Green’s discount beer at Myrtle Beach SC.

Funny label. Nice hoppy aroma. Mild and malty flavour. A nice bottled English ale.

Light golden color with a large, long lasting head. Aromas of mostly malt, with a bit of fruit and a slight nuttiness. The taste is a good balance of hops and malt, with a slight fruity sweetness. Thin, slightly bitter finish.

Golden color with thick whitish head. Seems to be pretty heavily carbinated. Malty aroma. Kind of bready tasting. Not bad.

Malty, dried apricot aroma. Large rocky, off white head. Slightly cloudy, dull orange in color. Flavor is malty sweet, witha sharp finish. Looks and smells better than it tastes.

This is a nice session beer with some hops, some malt and an easy drinking characteristic about it.

I was expecting to be underwhelmed with a beer that seems to be trying too hard to sell itself on marketing. Instead, I found it a nice earthy brew with a flavor that was neither offensive nor forgettable. Not one to look out for particularly, but one I wouldn’t refuse at all.
