COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Deep golden body with a thin white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Overall sweet aroma. Fruity and floral hops and some caramel. Clean, crisp, and bright. High carbonation. Earthy flavors along with some ripe fruit notes. Slightly bitter finish with a lick of hops. A cool beer that tastes pretty good.

Had this as a 10 ounce pour at Park Lane Tavern in Hampton. Pleasantly surprised at the flavor, but didnít realize it was an ESB until looking it up. Not very hoppy for an ESB. Slight head, clear copper in color, a nice mouth feel and crisp clean finish.

Bottle from Rehills Newcastle. Pours light orange, faint but lingering white head. Lighter than usual Black sheep stuff - quite refreshing

On tap at Lockdown in a shaker. Pours clear copper. Flavor is wet, weak caramel, slight amount of wet fruit. Not particularly bitter for an ESB. Very wet and pretty bland, which makes it quaffable but also very boring.

Bottle pour. Nothing remarkable here. Slightly malty, but otherwise thin. Do not recommend.
