COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Look out for an exclusive version of our Porter beer under the name of ‘Ruddy Ram’ throughout November and December. This will be exclusively available through one of our national wholesale partners and will also make an appearance in January and February through Molson Coors as ‘Ruddy Ram.’ We’re keen to see which version gets best received, so we’d love to hear from you! Why not tweet us? Did you know that the word ‘ruddle’ refers to the red iron ore used in dyeing and marking sheep? Having this glowing red complexion is commonplace in the winter months and we hope you will warm up with a pint of Ruddy Ram or Woolly Jumper in a pub near you!

Cask @ The Brown Cow Hinderwell. A black colored beer, with a beige thick foamy head. The aroma of some coffee with hints of caramel and fruits. The taste of fruits. some bitter coffee. The aftertast is bitter with notes of sweet.

On cask at Barony. Pours a dark ruby colour with a decent, light tan head. Aroma of acetone, treacle, coffee and yeast. Similar flavours with a sour lemon character. A malty, coffee finish. Mild carbonation. Not my thing.

Cask. Deep brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is smoked wood, toast, ashes and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is being rather similar with mild spicyness and berries as well.

Cask at Tobie Norris, Stamford, Lincolnshire. Very dark brown with a small off white head. Faint aroma with smoke and ash. Oily, rounded taste of dark burnt malt with a hint of bonfire. Mid bitter finish. Enjoyed this on a dank, foggy November day in this 17th Century pub in front of an open fire. Most agreeable.
