500ml bottle, pours golden brown with a small head. Deep malty caramel and biscuit in the aroma, with spicy citrus and banana balancing the malts. The finish is long and bitter. The palate is rich and thick, average carbonation. Good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Medium offwhite head. Clear amber body. Fruity earthy nutty aroma with meaty caramelly notes. Dry-sweet earthy caramelly meaty taste with fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish fruity meaty resiny aftertaste with caramelly notes. Nice, but way too meaty. (0.5l bottle, from House of Trembling Madness, York.)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle bought as alias Sainsbury’s Yorkshire Bitter. Nice aroma, biscuits and floral. Pours copper with a fairly tight head. Fairly strong malt and biscuit flavours, floral notes, a little honey and a good amount of bitterness, though could have done with a little more in my opinion. Otherwise good.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden amber with a lasting white head. Bready aroma. Biscuity flavor with a very dry, strong bitterness. Again, more cahones than 5%. Aftertaste is nice and bitter and strong.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle as Sainsbury’s Yorkshire Bitter. Pours copper with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is floral and malty. Med body, almost. Flavor is mostly floral hop with some very nice light roasty malt. It’s dry. It’s bitter. It’s very good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Copper colour small head. Caramel aroma. Taste is caramel and dry hops. This is a dry sweet beer. Quite nice. A little too watery and carbonated on the palate though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I really like this. Aroma is all caramel. Taste is deliciously balanced: bitter and yeast, more caramel. Rounded. Very very like the standard Black Sheep, but I think nicer. Will buy again. Nice surprise.
