On tap at Black Shirt poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of sour citrus, carmel and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, fruittiness and light spice with a smooth dry lightly tart lingering fruity finish.

Slightly hazy bronzen-copper with a thick and foamy light beige head. Aroma of perfumy hand soap and slightly sour blonde Belgian malts. Smooth flavor of Saison spice, toffee sweetness, bright blonde sour notes, and a smooth grainy malt body with a slight bitterness. Flavorful but also light and drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is mahogany in appearance with a small cream head and good lacing. Doughy, bready, a touch of vegetables - though not off-putting - a touch funky, pears, fruit skin, and phenols in the aroma. Taste is lightly spicy, fruity, a bit watered down, pepper, somewhat tangy and tart. Medium body, almost slick mouthfeel with low carbonation. Pretty off-balanced and kind of a let down. Definitely my least favorite of the night.

Clear light red - aroma is lightly sour, lightly sweet, moderately phenolic - flavor is sweeter than expected, but with a moderate acidity late - light apple and sour cherry notes - moderate innocuous phenols late - fairly acidic finish, but nothing I would exactly call sour - kind of simplistic - a bit of a let down consodering I enjoy their other saison.
