Tap at the pub. Served with a slice of cucumber. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a fizzy white head. Aroma is dry, wheaty, some lemon notes. The cucumber slice really comes through. Flavor is crisp, with a wheaty flavor, cucumber freshness, herbal and light. Different take but it works.

On tap at the brewpub, served with a cucumber. Pours a hazy gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has notes of sweet grains, honey, light fruits and a hint of spice. Flavor starts with light fruit and flora but finishes with sweet grains and honey.

Light fresh malt aroma. Hazy gold with a hint of white head. Light refreshing wheat beer with slight spiced notes.

On tap at Black Star Coop in Austin, TX. This was served with a cucumber wedge, which was a novel and charming touch, but which seriously dampened my ability to discern the beer’s aroma. What I can say? It smelled like a cucumber. That said, the palate was just right for a wheat beer, as it was light easily guzzled in the Texas heat. Flavors included banana, spring water, and, of course, cucumber. I really hope that someone else comes along and rates this, and I further hope that person likes wheat beers more than I do. I feel vaguely guilty for giving these enterprising folks such a low score.
