On tap at Black Star Coop in Austin, TX. This is exactly what you would expect, a thin and under-hopped pale ale that gives a "come hither" look to people who have been drinking Shiner and enjoying it. But don’t be too hard on these folks. The food is great, the bartenders knowledgeable, and I suspect that the beers they were sold out of were better than the ones they had. On balance I don’t have much good to say about this beer. However, I grew up in Austin, and the existence of Black Star makes it a better town.
