Tart, raspberry version of Dockhand. Dark and roasty with big raspberry flavor/aroma. Rebellious Dockhand goes through a "sour mash" to obtain its distinct, refreshing sourness.

Draught at brew pub. Dark body. Weird sour taste that brings up flavors of blue cheese. Whatever the intention, this one was not on the money. Couldnít finish.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2015 Aroma is intensely roasty with a hint of fruitiness. Pours into fluted stemware super black with some tan head. Taste is a surprising punch of raspberries. Not much roasted malts or sweetness or anything. Just raspberries. Light and pretty bubbly for the style.

Draft at the source, from notes. Clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma of fruity pine, citrus. Taste is floral bitter lemon, light pine resin. OK.Very dark brown color, brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of chocolate covered raspberries. Taste is softly sour berries, roasted coffee. Nice.

Dark brown with a reddish hue when held to the light. Decent tan head. Aroma is straight raspberry and so is the flavor except itís slightly ruined by a little metallic taste mixed in there. The acidity is just too high and so it finishes tart and dry.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep reddish brown with a tan head that has a slight red hue and dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of raspberries that are mainly sweet with a hint of tartness. Flavor starts with sweet raspberries that transition to a slight tartness and has a hint of roasted malts in the finish.

Raspberry, raspberry, raspberry! The fruit flavor is very nicely rendered with just the right amount of sour and tartness. Unfortunately, it overpowers all the other flavors. Dial it down a notch or two, and itíll be a winner!
