2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is a good balance of citrus and floral. The taste is a well balanced hop flavor and bitterness. There was a significant amount of hop material my glass which really turned me off.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Deep gold body with orange highlights. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, pine, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Bitterness lingers into the finish. Light raw leafy hop flavor along with dusty grain and some peppery alcohol. Resin and pine taste as well. Mild flavor and aroma for a 7.8% beer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a very small sized head of frothy fine to large sized bubbles that left behind no visible carbonation and a hazy brown colored body with a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malt hop. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of roasted malt. I thought this a very strange IPA. Where’s the hops?

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
tap at the brewpub (note: I recorded it as 7.0% abv) - This beer pours lightly hazy orange and has a big citrus hop aroma that’s got definite grapefruit tones. The flavor is very bitter with tasty citrus notes. There’s some malt sweetness hiding in there but it’s definitely overshadowed. I could smell this brew all day. It ends with a long, bitter finish. Well done.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler bought from Brewpub. Body is a deep gold with a nice tangerine tint. Little head left after the drive home from the brewpub and aromas are subdued as well... I pick up some tropical fruit and citrus (mango and grapefruit if I had to gamble) and a little edge of honey sweetness. Flavor is very nice (better than the nose lets on). A nice mix of a little bit of stinging pine, but mostly a blast of grapefruit, mango and peaches that balance out nicely over the honey malt presence. This is pretty nicely balanced and hides its almost 8% ABV nicely. Always nice to enter a new brewer and beer list to RB, especially when it is good stuff!
