3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Highly carbonated pout that leaves a fizzy but deeper-than-expected head under a dark brown ale.Aroma reminds me of a porter, taste is very malty, much like a porter or stout. Slight hops taste under lots of malt flavor. Not a bad roasted aftertaste.

Smooth, nutty stout flavor with a mild, balanced bitter bite. Not overwhelming. Good flavor.

Had this beer with my friend Bob. Looked a bit like coca-cola out of the bottle but the taste was excellent. Head disappeared almost immediately but the slightly sweet (almost porter-ish) flavor made up for it. Try it out!

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. pours almost black nice caramel head. taste typical of the genre with maybe a little more pronouced nuttyness in the finish than most. The thing about this beer is the value. Five bucks for a six pack and you can’t beat it. By the way its companion beer the "stockyard oatmeal stout" is not nearly as good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very dark and very nutty flavor. This is not my favorite style of beer. Dark carmel color head. Ok aroma.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very dark brown/black with minimal tan head that dissipates quickly. A decent nutty/caramel aroma. The nuts continue into the flavor, which isn’t very complex but pleasant enough. Not much body - wished it was a little bit creamier. A great beer for the price though, $6 for a six pack at Trader Joe’s.

BOTTLE; from Trader Joes. Bougth it for the price and possibilities. Light bodied but not overly thin tasting. Kinda sweet , but just a bit. Agree with the rater who suggested they might have called it a Porter. Not a bad deal- at least it’s not priced pretentiously. BUY AGAIN? probably

Fresh crisp tasting camel ale. Pours dark brown, but not heavy. Light tan frothy head that disappears towards the bottom of the glass. Flavor resides on the roof of your mouth. A remarkably good value for less than 5˝ bucks a sixer.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Maybe a sour roasted malt aroma.
A twisty that poured a black color with a hint of an amber hue, minimal tan head, no visible sediment, and can’t see tha action.
Sweet roasted malt taste with some grapefruit flavored hops.
Medium/full bodied, resinous, with soft carbonation.
A good session beer the main concern is the born on date because this is a twisty. Moves well at Trader Joes so shouldn’t be a problem.

This is a roasty nutty brown ale. If you imagine a stout/brown ale hybrid, this is what it would sorta taste like. Some caramel flavors balances the bitterness from the roast.
