Tap sample. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted sweet chocolate malt, whiskey wood aroma. Medium to full body and smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy whiskey sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

This straight up tastes and smells heavily of whiskey. Initial appearance is dark with an off white head. Not a very heavy porter. Hints of coffee and chocolate with a strong, tart whiskey bite to it. Really works your palate over after a while and can be a little hard to enjoy at times.

First Pensacola beer! Looking forward to more after this! Great balance, would be interested to see the development of the beer in a full glass instead of just a taste!

On draft at Pensacola Bay. Pours a medium porter brown with a white head. Nose is some wood, whiskey, chocolate, and light coffee. Flavor follows with big whiskey, some wood, light roast, chocolate, and coffee. Interesting blend of flavors that comes out as very whiskey, but the porter handles it with aplomb. Light to medium in body and very nice overall.
