Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
A refreshing copper coloured bitter brewed in the traditional English style. An ideal session beer for lunchtime or evening that has a fresh floral hop aroma with a good balance of malt flavour. Its real quality is to be both thirst quenching and full flavoured. Whatever the occasion you will appreciate Blackawton Original Bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Cornish beer festival, The Star, Bath 19/7/08. Copper coloured with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish red fruit and caramel aroma. Flavour began with a hint of plenty of fruity malt, before a slight graininess and earthy hop finish. Very easy drinking.

Aroma is seriously minimal. Taste is reasonably balanced but a bit thin, some grassy hops, some toffee malts.

Cask @ Blakes of Dover, 1 February, 2006
Has got a nutty off taste that is not to my liking. Some caramell and toffee are present, but missing in bitterness.

Cask Conditioned, at the Market Porter, London.
Golden body with an attractive volumous white head. Decent bitter but wouldn’t standout in line up.
