4% pale blonde lager hopped on the nose and british hops on the bitter. A great summer ale for the long warm days of summer.

Cask at Cloisters tap takeover Nov 2012, memory banks rate. They were pretty memorable due to the brewer talking us through the water supply, and the noticeable chalky effect it had on all his beers. This pours golden with a light haze, thin white head. Aromas of honey and corn. Taste brings a light citrus note, minerals again, which last on the finish.

Lovely grainy glden ale. Lots of honey, but not sugary. Very easy session, Iím sure.

[cask at Cloisters Bar, Edinburgh] Pale golden pour, decent white head. Nose is grassy with mild citrus, some yeast. Mild, lagery flavours, with a slightly sour finish. Very yeasty. Not my favourite of the evening, if Iím honest [15112012]

Fairly stale Brit-bitter nose, solid white head and honey yellow body. Clean initial taste with some stealthy hops that donít make an appearance on the dry, almost confusingly un-malty body and a quick exit on the finish with a snag of Refresher Bar dryness. Tight, but the worst of the bunch.

On cask @ Cloisters. Pours golden with a nice haze and well proportioned head. The nose has citrus, cornflakes and honey. The taste has more of the honey nut cornflakes with the hops being influenced by the chalky water which makes them drier and not quite as floral. The palate is light to medium in texture with a clean finish. Overall, solid in quality, quite quirky because of the mineral water taste in the background.
