Clear dark brown amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, caramel, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Clear brown beer, no real head. Okay toffee malt. Dry palate. Decent, but dry, marmalade hops. Well balanced. Dry finish. Touch of bubblegum ester.

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Clear mahogany colour. Salty and spicy with light-medium body. Soft and gentle with toffee and caramel. Slight spicy bitterness.

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, toffee, some mild herbal and nutty notes as well. Flavour is mild liquorice, some wood, sweet caramel malts and toffee as well. Balanced and quite pleasant and easy drinking bitter.
