Gravity Cask, Chelmsford Beer Festival Yummy! Sweet stout. Licorice & sweet toffee aroma. Gulpable and refreshing with a watery wine quality. Some sweet watery pineapple.

Initially sweet, you get things like raisins, chocolate and blackberry. very smooth texture, with a nice subtle roasted finish, with an underlying citrus aspect, simple, but enjoyable.

Up front a dark ale without strong coffee flavors--that begins to hit about mid-palate and in the later finish, before an espresso roastiness produces an odd bitter note. Very dark, hints of ruby color. Malty, a bit thinnish for palate. Fresh and easy drinking, and kudos to a regional English brewer for trying something interesting like this.
