Commercial Description:
A higher gravity traditional English Special Bitter. This beer is deep amber in color, brewed from Crisp floor-malted Maris Otter 2-row malt, and well-hopped with British Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.

NABA 08’: Pours a caramel mahogany color with a light off-white head. The nose is earthy with a light toasty malt note followed by a sweet grassy hop note. A nice well-rounded example of an ESB. Nice smooth mouthfeel and a decent body I can only attribute to the maris otter. Clean with light fruitiness. Good.

On tap. 3/4 inch head. Dark amber. Thin aroma. Very nice caramel malt and hop flavour. Hops are more american for the style. Even finish.

OK. Let me be the first to rate this puppy. I had a couple of these on-tap at the Montana Ale Works in Bozeman on a recent trip West. Decent Stuff. Don't ask me what sort of subtle flavors or aromas I felt. It was a good brew and the Montana Ale Works is just about the best establishment in that neck of the woods! Pheww!
