A classic British-style pale ale brewed from the finest certified organic 2-row malt and certified organic hops. Because of a loophole in organic regulations, many brewers produce “organic” beers without the use of certified organic hops. At the Blackfoot, we only use certified organic malt and hops in our organic beers. Golden in color, medium-bodied, and crisp in flavor.

On tap at the rhino. Pours a hazy copper with nice white lace. Aroma is underwhelming, but what's there is all hop. Taste is unique- nice sweet malt favors balance out hops and some faint citrus notes. Very smooth and drinkable, a solid pale from Blackfoot, and the organic status is a huge plus in my book. --- Mike, Missoula MT

Draft at the rhino. Pours a hazy medium gold with a loose white head that lasts. Lots of lace. Mild sweet nose...caramel and flowers. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Caramel and flower mid palate with a mild finish.

Had this on draft at a bar. Clear gold, frothy white head. Aroma of grain and mild citrus. Taste is also grainy and citrusy, some grass. A little less flavor than I had hoped but still pretty good.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2005 Tap @ Great Northern bar Whitefish, MT. Clear light amber/gold color with decent off white head. Aroma was light malt w mild spicy hops. Flavor was fresh, bright, clean, light roasted malt with moderate hops and a pleasant bitterness with a touch of spiciness. Slightly sweet. It had a pleasant hop nip in the finish. I really like the hallertauer type hops. This beer’s freshness and clean taste were very nice. Went well with food. The body was just at the threshold of medium though. If the body was fuller with more flavor this pale would have hit at least a 4 with me. 7/18/05 Had this again but it wasn’t called gold this time. It was quite cloudy and rather sweet. Seemed a bit starchy and I felt it deserved a 3.5
