argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA May 17, 2008 (Savor, draft) Medium off-white head atop hazy straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, pine/grapefruit, some pineapple. Taste is moderately sweet, pine/pineapple, some grapefruit. Medium body, some resin. BückDich (4559), Boise, Idaho, USA May 2, 2006 Draught at The Rhino Pub in Missoula, MT Poured a cloudy brownish/orange color with a nice creamy white head and excellent lacing. The nose is fresh and bright with some citrusy hops and a smooth malt body. The flavor is very nice with a full body provided by the marris otter along with a moderate hop bitterness in the finish. I liked this IPA, more focus on the malts without forgetting to throw in enough hops. acrdz (4399), Boulder, Colorado, USA May 17, 2008 Draft sample is clear amber. Has a crystalline sharp Cascade fruit nose, very bright and vibrant, but I think it lacks some depth, and is less pure and clean than I think a single-hop IPA should smell. Flavor is bitter, dry, catty, and overall it’s a very drinkable IPA but again, I think it falls short, and shows why the best IPAs in the world use hops as one would use colors in a painting. Still, it’s always interesting to try a single-hop and single-malt beer. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 23, 2007 Several drafts at Finn & Porter, Missoula: Yellow-orange, moderately laced. Tight hoppy aroma, very floral. Sweet and tangy like and orange rind (bitter) and mandarin orange (fruit). Light yet extremely flavorful. (#2936, 5/20/2007) harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jun 8, 2006 This was a great IPA, rich chewy maltiness that has a stand alone feel on your palate, but the hops are generous enough in the nose, lighter in the body, but still enough there to give enough bitterness. Smooth and creamy, and quite tasty.
