3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Savvy1982 (1439) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 2, 2011
Draft at Bert & Ernie’s. Pours murky green-gold, thin, though persistent, off-white head, solid lacing. Nose is very spicy citrus hops. This smells better than fresh homebrew! Very complex grapefruit/stonefruit/juniper interplay. Flavours are fresh and snappy, with lingering malt and solid whole-cone hop character. A shade light on the bitterness, but a very well-crafted, lighter interpretation of a PNW IPA. Neat shit.

Draught @ Machinery Row in Great Falls:   Hazy amber, very orangish, thin white sudsy head, decent lacing.   Moderate hop presense on the nose, a little bit of biting citrus peel.   On the tongue its quite bitter, but not overly done.
Decent malt base, very light sweetness, slight citrus peel twang.   I am quite surprised to how good this is for an IPA not thats not brewed on the west coast.   Good dose of bitterness on the tongue, citrus twang.
Moderate body and mouthfeel.   I am surprised by this one.   Vert drinkable, good bitterness, with a good malt base.   Better than expected.
