sm89walt (199), Norwich, Norfolk, England Dec 3, 2007 Bottle from the Little Beer Shop. Pours a clear orange, similar to apple juice, with lots of carbonation yet no head. Plentiful citric aromas and almost cidery at points. Dry apple flavours with some lemon-like sourness. I didn’t find much bitterness in this brew except a slight bitterness in the predominantly sour finish.
StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Jun 17, 2007 A mid amber brown coloured beer with a weak white head. a breasy malt nose, with a little citrus fruit aroma. A dry and bitter taste. The bready malt element is prominent again, making it a bit cloying, but there is however, a fruity flavour towards the end that helps to balance the flavour. The finish is dry. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk). Rune (1839), Tromsø, Norway Oct 16, 2006 Half pint on cask. Clear amber with some foam and lacing. Almost lack on aroma. Bitter and a bit spicy. Smooth mouthfeel. Very anonymous apart form the bitterness (The Champion in Norwich 24.09.2006). Finn (1109), Tromsø, Norway Oct 12, 2006 Cask at The Champion Norwich 24 Sep 06. Golden coloured. A rapidly disappearing creamy head. Unvaried and dull. Some bitterness in the finish. chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Jun 4, 2006 Cask (gravity dispense), Cambridge Beer Festival, May 2006. Pale amber colour. Distinctly dry with hints of citric hops. Not much to it really. Perfectly drinkable but entirely unremarkable. The rather dull mouthfeel suggested that conditioning may not have been perfect (well this was a beer festival).
