Cask - The Kings Head, Norwich. Bubbly, medium sized & lasting white head; clear orange body. There was a presiding element to the whole profile of this beer than I couldn’t put my finger on. Glue? Plastic? Overripe fruit? Earth & red fruit aromas. Some yeastiness on the tongue with a light orangey tang. Soft mouthfeel, lightish body, short toasty biterness with that unknown flavour lingering. Not sure what was going on really. It wasn’t undrinkable but rather off-putting to a degree.

Cask (gravity) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.

Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, light roasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long to average duration, plastic. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110429]

Bland English boring bitter aroma. Brown. Tastes funny, minerally. Messy.

Pours cloudy orange with small white head. THe aroma is very tart and the taste is just bitterness. Not alot going on and a rather perculiar taste overall. Might of been a slightly off bottle

Cask@Norwich Beer Festival. Amber coloured with a small white bubbly head. Fruity with a bitter aftertaste. I was a little disappointed given it was the Festival champion in ’06.

Cask at the ’Freshfield Arms’ near Southport. Some malt on the nose and hints of fruit, certainly nothing spectacular but not too bad none the less.
