2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap @ Blackhorse. Cloudy orange-gold with a brief white head leaving a coarse lace. Light ripe banana and yeast nose. Medium body is fairly sweet and has citrus (mostly oranges) and bread flavors, with some spiciness. I’m getting some late peanut butter too, which is rather odd. Not very refreshing.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy yellow, with a ring of white foam. Piney, vanilla, and banana aroma, with some spicy notes in the background. Palate is kind of crisp, as opposed to the soft palate I expect in a classic German Hefe. Nice mix of hops up front, with subtle vanilla and banana notes. Probably not to style (too hoppy), but actually not bad.

2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
A solid banana aroma. Good cloudiness. Strong initial banana but then some real funkiness to it, butter almost. Similar funk to the Blackhouse Ale; not good.

Dark yellow orange, white head. Aroma is big spiciness, orange citrus, wheaty body. The taste though is soapy, light sourness, then the spiciness and orange citrus.
