COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This creamy vanilla ale is a wonderful combination of Vienna malt, American two row and natural vanilla bean. Try it out and see why it’s one of our more popular brews.

Draft at the source. Hazy golden color. Aroma of light vanilla. Taste is pure sasparilla soda. Decent.

It tastes a little like a banana popsicle. Sweet with a little bit of malt. I like it a lot more than I expected to.

Pint on tap. Lightly foggy golden with a creamy disc of foam. Nose is vanilla and caramel. Taste is the same with a bit of toasted nut and dry grass on the finish. Light-medium body is to the sweet side, but not overly so. Medium carbonation is smooth. Surprisingly good.

Tap. Every thing about this beer screams "cream soda". Color is a dark gold. Aroma and taste is a strong vanilla.

Gold pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma is all vanilla. Flavor is flat wheaty like and a large vanilla booster. Nice twist to a blah style

It smells really nice, which kinda skews the rating a little high for me. Lots of vanilla, plus a touch of toast. The vanilla flavor seems a bit artificial, unfortunately, and pretty much obscures any other flavors. Not horrible, but I imagine you’d have to a be a really big fan of vanilla to drink an entire pint.

A pronounced vanilla aroma. Looks like a pale lager, not a cream ale. The aroma is nice. The beer is not for me. It has plenty of vanilla, but it’s just not a good flavor to me, simple as that.

Served a pale yellow color with a small head that fades slowly and very little lacing. Aroma is all vanilla. Taste is mostly vanilla, muting the other characteristics. Reminds me mostly of a Cream Ale. Fairly light body, smooth. fairly easy drinker, but for me one and done. I know better than to have fruit or flavored beers but every once in a while...I stay from the path.

Appearance: Served up a clear, pale yellow body with a lasting, white head. Smell: Slightly sweetish wafts of buttered vanilla with only the faintest background hints of extra pale malts. Taste: Very light malt profile with only a minute hint of grains. With Blackhorse’s glaring issues with diacetyl coupled with the vanilla flavoring, this beer comes across as, well, not a beer, but rather like a tall glass of AW Cream Ale. No real apparent hop character or bitterness, so, it’s Cream Ale from start to finish. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-light carbonation. Drinkability: A smooth, easy-drinking cre--err, beer.
