3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft sample. The beer is a bery pale yellow with no head. The aroma has a lot of vanilla to it. Fairly sweet and has some corny notes to it. Lighter in body and medium carbonation.

This beer looks and smells really nice, but in my opinion it all stops there. The taste is just way to sour for me to enjoy it. I really had high hopes for this but was extremely let down.

No bottle date enjoyed September 20, 2015 in a pint glass
Look - Thick white head. Have to try to keep it from exploding. Thick bubbles. A lot of lacing. Murky grapefruit like yellow body.
Smell - Vanilla.
Taste - Vanilla. Ale. Cinnamon.
Feel - Not too carbonated. Creamy.
Overall - Not complex but a good flavor for low ABV.

Draft at beer sellar - from notes. Just like a vanilla cream soda. Cool, but not what I was expecting.

4oz on tap at the brewpub. Labeled 3.8% on the board. Clear golden color. Good thin white head. Leaves great, thicker sheet of lace. Really nice vanilla bean flavor all throughout. Drinks like a Nilla Wafer. Moderate sweet, good light bitter balance. Nice dryness in the finish. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Sort of watery... very light... but this was surprisingly tasty and easy drinking. I could do a pint.

3/19/15. 22oz bottle from a little store in Knoxville, TN. Golden pour with a small khaki head, mild lacing. Very weird aroma - smacked in the face with a bottle of vanilla extract followed by skunk (somehow??), corn, and diacetyl. Glad I’m sharing this bottle. Creamy flavor, vanilla, corny, husky bitterness, diacetyl. Meh.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
[Tap] Dirty golden pour with a fizzy white head on top. Aroma is of cream soda and vanilla beans. Not much besides that. Flavor is also centered on vanilla. Sweet light malts and creamy vanilla ice cream notes as well. Not very beer-like, but more creamy and slightly thicker than expected.

It finishes a little sour. If they could fix that, it’d be perfect! That said, I crave this beer like crazy! It’s the closest replacement for Bohannon’s Vanilla Cream Ale.

Draft at the source. Hazy golden color. Aroma of light vanilla. Taste is pure sasparilla soda. Decent.
