Echt.

Bottle from trade with Culchiem - many thanks! The beer has got a deep black colour with a steady head and smooth body. Aroma of hops, coffee and flowers. Taste of roasted hops, herbs, dark bread, coffee, malt and spruce. Flowery-hoppy finish. Enjyoed it.

Aroma ottimo: Pompelmo, biscotto, caffè. Amaro un po’ aggressivo. Carbonazione spinta. Leggermente troppo secca e poco avvolgente in bocca.

Black pour with a frothy tan head. Smoky bacon, grapefruit, red fruit, pine and biscuit. Nice hoppy bitterness sitting on a malty backbone. Very enjoyable.

From the bottle. Pours a deep brown with red highlights and a modest foam. Chocolate and coffee blend with the pine and floral hops. This works well in the flavor. Moderate hop bitterness cuts the coffee and malt with a nice lingering aftertaste.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Kenwold, 28/11/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is charr, hint coffee, spice, earthy hops, toffee. Taste comprises light pine, dusty hops, light roast, faint berry. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ticks the style boxes, OK CDA, nothing to revisit for me mind.

Bottle 0,5l. Dark brown color with huge white head. In aroma there are some red grapefruit and piney hoppy notes notes plus some coffee, chocolate and butter. Oh yes, it’s diacetyl. In taste there are lot of rasted malts, choclote, coffee, medium bitterness and some bad ashy aftertaste. It is more like an american stout, not black IPA. Too many roasted notes for black IPA.

Dark ruby brown, tan ringed head. Soft choc roast, piney coffee. Initial taste is roast, bitter, dominating bitternising. Creamy enough mouthfeel, little squeaky carbonation. Finishes lean coffee, creamy milk stout.
